CIGAR FACTORY TOUR

A tour of the cigar factory will introduce you to the entire production process, from leaf sorting, hand rolling, precise quality control and packaging. A preserved tradition that gives the place a typical atmosphere is the reading of newspapers or novels to employees while they work.

Cigar production in Havana began in the 18th century. The first famous factory was the Real Fábrica de Tabacos Partagás (behind the Havana Capitol) in 1845. From here, in 2013, production was moved to more modern factories on the corner of Calle San Carlos and Penalver (Fabrica Partagás) and Calle Belascoain, between Penalver and Desague (H.Upmann factory)

The factory tour is organized, with a local guide. Taking photos on site is prohibited (only in the lobby). Entry to the building is only allowed for persons over 18 years of age. The building also includes an interesting shop with a wide range of cigar brands that are produced here. You can buy whole packs or single cigars or a special mix of different brands.

Admission CANNOT be purchased on site, it must be secured in advance.

Tours are only available on weekdays, excluding public holidays, and in the morning (09:00 - 13:00).

The price includes only entrance to the building (without transportation) with a local Spanish, English or French speaking guide.
