LAS TERRAZAS – Ecological complex, SOROA – Botanical garden

„Las Terrazas“ is an ecological tourist complex near the Soroa city (4 km) in the biospheric reservation „Sierra del Rosario“. From the moment we enter, this complex offer us an idylic image of an recreational area by the lake, surrounded by the mountainside and charming nature. The main attraction of the Soroa city which is halfway between „Piňar del Río“ and Havana is the botanical garden with the orchids. In this tropical paradise which was founded by a Spaniard Tomás Felipe Camacho for his daughter you can find over 700 kinds of orchids. From the pavillion „Mirador de Venus“ is a spectacular view. There is a path that leads from here to the „El Salto“ waterfall which is 22 metres high.
